adult literacy
Many adults in the communities where Un Mundo works were unable to complete their basic education due to high rates of poverty, a dependence on subsistence agriculture (with its high labor demand on the household), lack of functioning schools nearby, etc. Today, many of these adults still have a strong desire to learn and today Un Mundo is working with around 45 adults between the ages of 18 and 60, who day by day shine as living examples of overcoming obstacles for all those around them and demonstrate that learning can be a lifelong endeavor.
